What this prototype measures
| Signal | Meaning |

| QR readability | Confirms the digital payload is still machine-readable. |
| Optical density | Average darkness around the QR / marker area. |
| Texture / edge energy | High-frequency print detail likely to change with imaging and reprinting. |
| Sector density | Distribution of dark pixels in regions surrounding the QR. |
| Optical similarity | Similarity of the normalized physical-mark image to the original capture. |
A high similarity score does not prove authenticity. This is an R&D instrument for finding features that behave differently between original and copied prints.
